This privacy and cookie statement explains how we process personal data through our website www.jobrewards.io and the JobRewards App (iOS and Android).<\/p>\n<p>By using our website or app, your personal data is processed as described in this statement. JobRewards processes program-related data based on the legitimate interest of your employer; your consent applies to opt-in features such as push notifications. Your data is used for, among other things, registration, participation in the program, awarding rewards, and improving the user experience.<\/p>\n<p>This statement also applies to any future features or updates to the JobRewards App.<\/p>\n<h3>Roles under the GDPR<\/h3>\n<p>JobRewards acts in two capacities when processing personal data, depending on the type of processing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Controller: for processing operations that JobRewards itself initiates and determines, such as its own website analytics, cookie management, contact forms, and newsletters.<\/li>\n<li>Processor on behalf of the employer<strong>: <\/strong>for the processing of employee data within the framework of the appraisal and recognition program. In this case, your employer is the data controller and JobRewards processes the data solely on behalf of your employer. This includes point balances, achieved milestones, redeemed rewards, and activities within the platform.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For program-related data where your employer is the data controller, you must contact your employer to exercise your privacy rights (access, correction, deletion). JobRewards will provide technical assistance as needed.<\/p>\n<h3>General principles<\/h3>\n<p>JobRewards values your privacy and complies with relevant legislation, including the AVG. This means that we:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clearly define our purposes before we process personal data;<\/li>\n<li>Store as little personal data as possible and only the data that is needed;<\/li>\n<li>Explicitly seek consent for processing personal data when required;<\/li>\n<li>Implement appropriate security measures to protect personal data and impose these obligations on third parties processing data for us;<\/li>\n<li>Respect your rights, such as the right to access, correct or delete personal data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Contact<\/h3>\n<p>When you contact us, by phone, email, or through the contact form, we process the following data:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>your name;<\/li>\n<li>email address;<\/li>\n<li>phone number;<\/li>\n<li>Other information you share with us.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We use this information to properly handle your request and execute the agreement.<\/p>\n<p>We retain this information for 2 years after the last point of contact or until we are sure you are satisfied with our response.<\/p>\n<h3>For what purposes do we use your personal data?<\/h3>\n<h4>General Information (website):<\/h4>\n<p>This data is needed to contact you, provide our services, and manage your account:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Name, email address, company name<\/li>\n<li>IP address, browser type and language<\/li>\n<li>Contact information in case of questions or feedback<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Goal &amp; Foundation<\/strong> Follow-up of business interest, communication, and service provision. The basis is legitimate interest \u2013 visitors who contact or register can reasonably expect JobRewards to use their data for follow-up. After an agreement is concluded, the performance of the agreement applies additionally as the basis for account-related processing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Retention period:<\/strong> Up to 2 years after your last use or contact.<\/p>\n<h4>App-specific:<\/h4>\n<p>When you use the JobRewards App, we collect:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Account details (name, email, employee number, password, device ID, operating system)<\/li>\n<li>Activities within the app (ratings, learning activities, badges, vitality ratings)<\/li>\n<li>Optional location data for certain features (e.g., local rewards)<\/li>\n<li>Push notifications and preferences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Purpose &amp; Basis: Registration, participation in programs, awarding of rewards, improvement of the app, and communication. Basis: Legitimate interest for all program-related processing \u2013 the employer has a legitimate interest in motivating and rewarding employees, and the processing is necessary and proportional for that purpose. Consent is the basis solely for location data and push notifications.<\/p>\n<p>Retention period:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Account information: up to 2 years after last use<\/li>\n<li>Program activities: 2 years after last activity<\/li>\n<li>Location and push notifications: as long as permission is active<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note: Optional features such as location and push notifications are fully opt-in and can always be turned off by you.<\/p>\n<p>Clarification of role distribution: The processing of activity data, point balances, and rewards is carried out on behalf of your employer, who is the data controller for this purpose based on legitimate interest. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of the newsletter.<\/p>\n<h3>Disclosure to other companies or institutions<\/h3>\n<p>We only share your personal data with third parties when permitted by current legislation. It may happen that we provide your personal data to third parties because:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>we have engaged them to process certain data;<\/li>\n<li>that is necessary to carry out the agreement with you;<\/li>\n<li>you give permission for this;<\/li>\n<li>we have a legitimate interest in doing so;<\/li>\n<li>we are required to do so by law (for example, if the police require it in the case of suspected crime).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The parties that process personal data on our or your behalf are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>IT vendors and service providers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When JobRewards processes personal data on behalf of your employer, your employer is considered the data controller and JobRewards acts as the data processor. The processor agreement concluded between JobRewards and your employer governs how JobRewards processes and secures that data.<\/p>\n<h3>International transfer of personal data<\/h3>\n<p>Some suppliers are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA). We implement appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). You have the right to information about these transfers and you can file a complaint with the receiving party, the Dutch Data Protection Authority, a competent court in the EEA, or an independent dispute resolution body. These rights are in addition to your general privacy rights under the GDPR.<\/p>\n<h3>Cookies<\/h3>\n<p>Our website uses cookies. Cookies are small files where we can store information so you don't have to enter it repeatedly.
